Premium Romanian wine estate Cramele Recas was founded in 1998 and is owned by a winemaking team of three families, with vineyards that are said to be some of the oldest in the world. The emphasis here is on quality and innovation achieved by hard work, passion, and of course a great respect for the terroir.
Romania is emerging as an exciting destination for characterful Pinot Noir. The supple Sanziana has layers of juicy black cherry and raspberry, with pretty flavours of fruit cake. A 90+ rated wine for under a tenner? Phenomenally good value!
