Wine Notes

Chateau Soussans sits on a picturesque spot thirty km’s north of Bordeaux in the heart of the Médoc. This estate  is managed by the famous Jean Sorge whose family have owned the estate since the 18th century.
Château Soussans benefits from an exceptional terroir and modern wine making methods. The vines at Château Soussans are on average fifteen years old and are planted ten thousand vines per hectare on the two hectare plot. Jean Sorge combines tradition and innovation in equal measure to produce this classic Margaux.

Made with 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Merlot the wine is soft and silky with perfumed strawberry jam on the nose. Ripe plum and cream come through on the palate which has supple tannins and an attractive, lively red fruit finish. This elegant Margaux will be lovely to drink, share and enjoy over the next decade. Simply delicious with duck or cassoulet!
