Power, fruit and finesse are the three criteria that can describe the wines of Château Beauchêne. These three characteristics must balance. The power should not become heavy; it should not prevail and dominate by his excessive alcohol and tannins. A Côtes du Rhône should not “paper” the mouth to the point of breaking the harmony with the dishes, except to serve only game dishes and stews.
The Châteauneuf-du-Pape Grande Réserve from Château Beauchêne is a red wine blend of Grenache (80%), Syrah (15%) and Mourvèdre (5%) grapes sourced from vines that are over 100 years old. A concentrated and delicious example of Châteauneuf-du-Pape with spicy aromas and rich peppery palate that is perfectly balanced.
