Les Meix is an exceptional lieu-dit, its wines somehow a cut above its village status. In fact, the parcel lies a stone’s throw down the slope from the prestigious premier cru Les Pucelles, their boundaries mere yards apart. Warmer years can blur such lines, and special sites yield wines that shine. Les Meix 2017 is certainly impressive, more powerful than many a recent vintage, but no less elegant with its silky long-line fruit, stony minerals and textbook iodine tang.
