Wines by Grape
Malbec
Malbec is a black grape variety that was traditionally used in Bordeaux blends to provide both colour and tannin to the wine. It is also grown in the Loire, South-West France, where it was responsible for the ‘black-wine of Cahors’ and many other Mediterranean wine regions. In recent years Malbec has found its true home in Mendoza, Argentina where it is regarded as their flagship grape and some excellent examples are made from increasingly old vines.
